Land Opportunities

Charlotte-area land submissions for consideration.

Peters Signature Homes acquires land in order to develop and sell its own residences.

This is not a build-on-your-lot service. We do not build a home for a landowner on their own property, and submitting a site does not create any construction arrangement.

If you own or represent a property that may suit a design-led residence, you are welcome to submit it. Please include the location, approximate acreage, zoning or entitlement status, and any utilities or access constraints you are aware of.

Submitting a site does not create an offer, an option, a listing agreement, an agency relationship, a confidentiality obligation, or any commitment to evaluate or respond. Please do not send confidential or proprietary information.

How can we help?

Submitting an inquiry does not create a purchase agreement, reservation, brokerage relationship, construction contract, custom-homebuilding relationship, fiduciary relationship, or other contractual relationship with Peters Signature Homes, Inc.

By submitting this form, you authorize Peters Signature Homes, Inc. to use the information provided to respond to your inquiry. Submission does not create a contractual, brokerage, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.

We attempt to save your inquiry in the private staff inbox, notify Peters Signature Homes at npeters@peterssignaturehomes.com, and send you a confirmation. The outcome below reports what succeeded. If automatic delivery cannot be confirmed, you can choose to open a prepared email yourself.

What makes a site suitable

Peters Signature Homes acquires homesites to develop and sell its own residences in the Charlotte region. A suitable site supports a design-led home without forcing the architecture to fight the land: workable topography, sensible access, available utilities and a setting buyers in that area expect.

  • Location within established Charlotte neighborhoods or nearby towns with demand for luxury new construction.
  • Lot dimensions, setbacks and topography that allow a well-proportioned residence and outdoor space.
  • Public water and sewer, or soils suitable for an on-site septic system where public sewer is not available.
  • Clear legal access and no unresolved boundary, easement or title questions.
  • Mature trees worth keeping, and drainage that can be managed without major regrading.

What we look at during evaluation

Within the City of Charlotte, development is governed by the Unified Development Ordinance, which took effect in 2023, along with the city's tree and post-construction stormwater requirements. Surrounding towns and counties, including Union County communities such as Marvin and Weddington, apply their own zoning, subdivision and permitting rules.

An evaluation typically covers zoning and permitted use, any recorded restrictions or association covenants, flood zone status, utility availability and capacity, soils, tree protection requirements and the cost of preparing the site. Where a property is in an established neighborhood, the scale and character of surrounding homes matter as much as the regulations.

What to include in a submission

The more of the following you can include, the faster a site can be reviewed. Approximate figures are fine; please do not send confidential documents.

  • Street location or parcel identification number.
  • Approximate acreage and lot dimensions.
  • Current zoning and any known entitlement or subdivision approvals.
  • Utilities available at the street and any known access constraints.
  • Whether existing structures are on the property.
  • Your relationship to the property: owner, broker or other representative.

Questions about submitting land

Will you build a home on my lot for me?
No. Peters Signature Homes does not build on a landowner's property for the landowner. Sites are acquired so that the company can develop and sell its own residences.
Do you respond to every submission?
Submissions are reviewed as they arrive, but submitting a site does not create any obligation to evaluate or respond, and it is not an offer.
Can a broker submit a site on an owner's behalf?
Yes. Please state the brokerage and confirm you are authorized to share the property information.
